Privacy Policy

This policy explains how HatMonde collects and uses personal information when you visit www.hatmonde.com or send us an inquiry. HatMonde is operated by Yiwu Bapai Trading Co., Ltd, a business registered in China ("we", "us"). We are responsible for the personal information described here.

1. Information we collect

When you send us a quote request, sample request or message: your name, email address, company name, country, buyer type and desired delivery time (where you choose them), the products, colors and quantities you select, your message, and the page you sent it from. You cannot upload files through the website at the moment.

Technical information: when you visit the website, our hosting provider Cloudflare processes your IP address and browser details to deliver the pages and protect the website. When you send a form, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you are a person and not a bot. To stop repeated automated submissions we keep a coded (hashed) value derived from your IP address for about 20 minutes; we do not store your IP address with your inquiry.

How you found us (visit source): the name of the website that referred you (for example a search engine, an AI assistant or a social network), the first page you visited, and any campaign tags in the link (UTM parameters). It is kept in your browser for the current visit only and sent only with an inquiry. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, it is kept only if you allow it in the cookie banner; otherwise your inquiry records only that you did not allow it. Elsewhere it is on unless you switch it off under Cookie settings.

Website statistics: if statistics are in use on this website, Google Analytics 4 counts visits, page views and the use of some buttons (for example sending a quote request, opening WhatsApp or downloading a specification sheet). It does not receive your name, email or the text of your messages. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland it runs only after you allow it; elsewhere it runs unless you switch it off under Cookie settings, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. Advertising features and Google signals are switched off.

2. How we use it

• To reply to your inquiry, prepare quotations and send you a confirmation email.
• To arrange samples, orders and shipping that you request.
• To protect the website from spam and abuse.
• To understand which pages and channels bring inquiries and to improve the website (visit source and statistics, as described above).

We do not sell your personal information and do not use it for advertising.

3. Legal bases (EEA, UK and similar regions)

• Steps you ask us to take before a contract: replying to your inquiry and preparing a quotation.
• Our legitimate interest in running and securing our website.
• Your consent, for the visit source and website statistics. You can withdraw it at any time under Cookie settings; this does not affect what was done before.

4. Cookies and browser storage

You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page.

Necessary items are always on. Optional items run only as you choose in the cookie banner or Cookie settings.

Videos from YouTube are loaded in privacy-enhanced mode and only when you click play; YouTube may then set its own cookies.

5. Service providers

We use these providers to run the website and handle inquiries:

• Cloudflare: website hosting, database, security and spam protection (Turnstile)
• Resend: sending inquiry notifications and confirmation emails
• Tencent Exmail: our business email
• Google Analytics: website statistics, only as described above

These providers may process data in China, the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

6. How long we keep it

Inquiry records, including the visit source sent with them, are kept for 365 days and then deleted automatically, unless we need them longer for an ongoing order, legal obligations or a dispute. Deleted records may remain in our encrypted backups for up to 30 days before they are deleted automatically. Statistics in Google Analytics are kept according to the retention period set in Google Analytics.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, such as encrypted connections and access control for our inquiry records. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

9. Children

This website is for businesses and is not intended for children under 16.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The version and date at the top show the current version. If we change what we ask your consent for, the cookie banner asks you again.
